Your hearing is shot due standing too close to all the F4-J Phantoms on full AB, which explains why you haven't heard your new truck engines' starter motor at least once.

Ask a kid - I remember one of my friend's parents had an old truck they drove around on the farm as the rust bucket truck. It only had one bottle opener... but it was on the dash. Does that qualify?

Yes. That qualifies.

Especially if the truck was 50's era and had a metal dash with pointy object pointing into the passenger compartment. The steering wheel was protected by the driver's chest during a head on collision.

Come on guys, you are showing your age. I had forgotten about those start buttons on the floorboard. Had a 51 Ford that I had to constantly add brake fluid. Master cylinder was under drivers floor mat and added so much someone suggested rubbing alcohol that was like 10 cents a bottle and it worked. A lot cheaper than brake fluid.

Do you remember vacuum powered windshield wipers (54 Ford)? Every time you went FOT to pass somebody in the rain, your windshield wipers would turn off. I'd like to meet the engineer that designed that vacuum powered motor! We could have wheelchair jousting using our canes.

We had better both stop before we start remembering too many old time things. You might have been more fortunate than me, but I remember the no bathroom era - #3 washtub in back yard and outhouse at the end of the path. Thank God we are past that.

Yes, we are old. I remember the 54 Ford had an optional canister oil filter holder. Toilet paper rolls fit nicely, thank you. And no fuel filter. But we now drive a state-of-the-art pickup truck.

I forgot about the oil bath air cleaner.

How about an AM radio? You turn it on, and it buzzes for a minute or so as the vibrator pumps up the B+ high voltage for the five-tube super heterodyne design?
