Just saw this Maverick for Rent, $19.95 Per Day in the Costco parking lot. It's wearing standard UHAUL Livery.

I guess it could be one way for you to have a little more time with the truck than trying to get a test drive from a Local Dealer that doesn't have any on the lot......

I couldn't find a webpage detailing this truck at the UHAUL website. This truck has Arizona plates, but I spied it in Syracuse NY (Upstate NY). I'll bet it's a good option for in city moves (maneuverable and easy to park), as well as for distance moves (Good Gas Mileage). I'm assuming this one is the Hybrid, I didn't see any markings otherwise....

$20 per day is way less than car rental companies get for an Econo-Subcompact Car too!

For me, I'm expecting another of my many forthcoming 45 Day emails arriving tomorrow, basically telling me to Pound Sand. I hope to get my Lariat Hybrid sooner than later, but later is likely....

Based on the lack of specific hybrid badging on the tailgate, this one appears to be a FWD ecoboost

Yeah on the left side of the tailgate. I'd guess these are Ecoboost FWD.

Read the words.

It doesn't say $19.95/day, it just says $19.95.
Also it is "Plus Mileage/Fees".

Nobody pays any attention to the fine print.

If I remember correct, most of these UHaul pickup rentals are for 4 hours and probably a hefty per mile fee.

I used to own a sign shop and most commercial customers don't care about badging, they care about their own logo. Note that the UHaul logo is where the Hybrid badge would normally appear. We frequently removed badging for commercial clients to give better exposure to their graphics. Lack of the badging does not prove anything.

Fyi, I'm pretty sure every U-Haul in the country is registered and plated in Arizona

normally there are for htybrids of 4x4's but big fleet orders have a great deal of discretion from Ford as to what decals/badges & options are placed on their orders.

And the cost is sometimes for 90 minutes. Plus .89 per mile. Plus taxes and fees.

Correction: it's 90 minutes rental for the larger flatbed Home Depot trucks.
From U-haul it really is $20 a day plus taxes.

It's a reasonable choice to get your stuff home from the store. Not much more. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, All U-Haul vehicles are registered in Arizona with AZ Plates.

I suspect U-Haul would buy the EcoBoost for better payload capability, but that is only a guess.
