I recall, the OP on this subject a few days ago had to do with getting A/C and circulating air to kids in the back seat.

I've been thinking about airflow. I am wondering if a small fan based on those used to cool computers, using the mounting bracket on the back of the console to mount, could be rigged up? These DC fans are available in 12v. configuration.

Alternately, putting a squirrel cage fan in the storage area under the rear seat and cutting vents into the plastic? Just brainstorming here.
push the max a/c button & aim center vents between seats the back area will get plenty of air. i’ve never had a vehicle with stronger airflow than my maverick.

I had vents with fan speeds on my Sport Trac console.
It all comes down to money.
Maverick was a low cost leader.
Hopefully leading customers up to Ranger or F-150. I'm sure they all have vents in the back of their consoles.
We got what we're willing to pay for.
I myself was surprised that there were vents underneath the seats.
Take care

I understand that and cost cutting but that being said the maverick is very similar to the bronco sport (BS) and the escape, and we know that the escape has rear console vents

I do however wish there were a pair of vents on the rear of the console. Granted the Maverick does have very adequate A.C., I love to freeze myself out when it gets up to 115 with the heat index here in the Midwest.

Being a union ironworker working outside all day in the heat, the AC can't be cold enough....😁👍

115F with the heat index? Try it here in Southwestern Utah where it is 115F actual air temperature.

For those folks who have been asking. Yes there is passive heat and air conditioning air flow to the back seats that's directed from underneath the driver and passenger seats.
👇Here is a picture of the vents.👇

👆The settings. You must have the foot setting activated as shown in the picture. 👆
I couldn't use the highest blower setting. It kept blowing out the matches. I ended up having to use two matches lit together, for the demonstration.

Thank you that's good to know, now I will run the setting on floor when I have people in the back seat.

Being introduced into the market at $19,995.

You are right but they are wrong. Not everyone wants or needs a Ranger sized or F150 sized truck. I do not. I would never get an F-series. I've driven them when necessary but they are way too big for daily use. I got the Maverick (and many others did too) BECAUSE of the size, and because it's a hybrid.

Most of the engineering for the vent thing is already done on the Escapes.

Yep, it was toasty yesterday. I'm thinking about heading up to Duck Creek, for a little break.

Ford Maverick Yes folks, there is HVAC to the rear seats. Big Thanks to FOSSIL 👍 20240710_082010

Is this only on 2024 models?

Have their been rear vents on Maverick's the whole time?

So by "passive", you mean there's just a tube running under the seat to allow airflow from the front footwell to the back footwell? No actual ducting direct from the hvac?

There's no separate fan for the rear passengers. Ok so far?
Whatever the driver or passenger has agreed on for the speed of the fan a speed of the fan. With the lower foot position selected.
That's what the rear passenger gets. I hope that's clear because I do not know what else to say or how else to explain it.

What I'm asking isn't whether there's a separate fan. I'm asking if the tube is connected to the actual a/c with actual ducting, or if it's just catching the air from the lower vent and passing it through.

Hal,
You will have to investigate that yourself. Then you can post your results. I've gone about as far as I can. I've shown that the power of the fan will vary the amount of air coming through the tubing depending upon the speed of the fan. To me that's its own conclusion.

I'll do that, and I'll try to avoid asking you any questions in the future that might ruffle your feathers.
