Yakima roof rack (for kayaks) installed on Maverick

It’s been in place for over a year and looks brand new. Both the Angry Elephant Rack and the Tonneau cover.

For bed racks, you could consider the Truxedo TS Rails, and Truxedo Elevate rack. Rails are about $180. Rack is about $700. Then the tonneau is anywhere from $400 to $1200 depending on what you want.

I have the rails and Pro X15 cover. Installing them as soon as truck comes in. Then will likely get cheap bars for now, see how it goes, and may upgrade to elevate rack down the road.

Love it! I know that a rack over the cab is somewhat unusual for pickups, but...

I plan on doing the Baseline and FatCats for snowboarding. Can't think of a more versatile solution as the bed isn't big enough for boards, luggage, and gear for a family of 4, and a bed rack gets in the way of bikes and stuff during the summer.

I used roof top carrier's for years, all did damage the paint as least a little.
Due to the short bed on the Maverick, I used a extender for longer trips, and for local lakes I just tie them in and let them over hang the tailgate.

I was thinking of one rack on the cab and another on the bed for canoes.

I was thinking of one rack on the cab and another on the bed for canoes.

I had thought the same thing. Even bought a set of roof racks but I was afraid they would scare the paint where they attached.

The bed racks I have mounted do not touch the truck they are mounted to a TS rail system.

They canoe in the picture is a 14ft white water boat and it fit perfectly with the two 10ft WW kayaks.

I've always thought Ford missed the boat by not offering roof rails like the escape or baby bronco.
