Hello, was wondering the difference of the headlamps between XLT and Lariat.

Lariat has "LED Headlamps" and XLT doesn't. Are the headlamps the same and the bulbs are different or the bulb the same and the headlamps are different, or both are different?

Can we just add LED bulbs if we have the XLT?

Thanks

ALL Mavericks have LED headlights. The Lariats have the upper drl light that the others don’t and no you can’t just add an LED bulb to get them. The only bulbs you can change in the headlights are the signal bulbs.

All trim levels have the same LED headlights. The lamps are built into the plastic headlight assembly and not replaceable. If they fail, you have to replace the entire assembly and they are not cheap - last I saw on MTC, the OEM replacements were over $1,000 each.

The Lariats have separate Daytime Running Lights. XLT & XL use the dimmed LED headlights for DRLs. The DRLs are configurable and can be turned off/on in the vehicle settings.

Correct , lariat has upper daytime running lights ,separate and built in .i had to replace an xl , accidentally bought an eBay $600 lariat one with black trim .endided up buying another to match and sold the xl on eBay for $500 . So essentially you could upgrade for around $200-300 with eBay fees.
Dealer , my cost is $1180 each !
For xl and a few dollars more for lariat.
Just be cautious of Brocken tab takeouts as these trucks abs plastics have almost no flex agents in them and absolutely shatter if you look at them strongly!
The junkyards locally may have takeouts now in the bigger cities as more on the road now and starting to trickle into junkyards.
If you do upgrade you can enable the lariat drl in forscan or fdrs which any dealer or competent locksmith with a subscription can do.

Got it thanks!! Now I get it, I didn't want to fell into the marketing trap. Not worth it to get the Lariat just for the LED drl..lol.

I have a 24 XLT and the headlights are certainly LED, as I get flashed many times driving home from work every night
They're adjustable right? As in you can angle them up/down.
