I'd get another one hands-down in a heartbeat. It seats 5, drives like an SUV, hauls 3/4 ton, tows either one or 2 tons and gets better gas mileage than any other truck on the market, most by a very large margin. The bed is far better designed than all the others, and having controls that you can feel instead of stupid center-screen controls is inherently safer. There are only two pickups on the market today that even fit in a standard garage - the Mav and the Santa Cruz. If you value the old Subaru Brat look and plushy interiors over real truck functionality then the Hyundai is what you want. Otherwise the Mav wins in virtually every category and is a very obvious choice. I've had 2 Rangers and the new one is larger than an F150 from the 80s and so is no longer suitable for purpose. The F150, Ram and GMC monters just getting bigger and taller every year and are today only suitable for towing ridiculous loads. You can't even see small vehicles or pedestrians in front of the GMC models or the F250 and F350 with their stupid-height hoods. Finally there are no pickups even close in the fuel usage category, and the hybrid gets slightly better mileage than a Prius that can't haul anything.
My son’s 24 Ranger fits in his garage right beside his Fusion.

Absolutely I would!!! Ford hit a grand slam with this truck!!! I have a '22 hybrid and have ordered a '25 hybrid. It's comfortable, functional, economical, and mine hasn't had any problems at all. A few recalls, but that's to be expected.

I'm a "basic" kind of guy and this goes above & beyond for me.

No, not at current pricing.

It is a great truck for the about $23K I paid but the $32K it costs now isn't even close to worth it. At that point I would be looking at a Ranger or Colorado that was around a year old.

I would have gotten a Lightning if today's market existed when I originally ordered my Maverick.

I like my Maverick and am keeping it. But circumstances are different now.
Same.

Thinking about it. I had a 24 Lariat that was a special order walk away. Got x-plan price. I really liked the truck. The concept is great but the "execution" is a different story. Mine was a "rattler" and drove me nuts. Did not like the "active-x upholstery. Any small bump or crack in road resulted in rattles from overhead and dash areas.
After 7 months & 3K miles went back to a very nice 2019 F150XLT. Really miss the great mileage and utility of the Maverick. I'm and old guy and don't need a big truck or 4x4/AWD any more.
I may look for a new "left over" 24 XLT/LUX pkg EB when the 25s start to hit the lots. I definite do not like the "knobless" infotainment/HVAC controls. Don't drive that much anymore so fuel mileage isn't an issue.
I'm watching local inventories now.

BTW: Does anyone know if the RDU on the AWD Maverick is the same as the one on the Bronco Sport? Over on their forum, it looks like the BS RDU is failing like the front CVTs are on the Mavericks.

I assume you're referring to CV axles, not CVT...

As I understand it, the Bronco Sport and Maverick AWD models share the Dana AdvanTEK RDU, and the Badlands and Tremor models share the AdvanTEK Ultra twin-clutch RDU.

EDIT: I did some quick research and found that most of the issues were related to a poor vent location that was updated in 2022. The original vent locatoin allowed debris in, damaging the RDU. Plenty of BS folks recommend 20-30K mile RDU oil change intervals as we MTC users do. Others mentioned that they added XL-3 friction modifier and it eliminated chatter.

Hind sight being 20/20 I wished I HAD ORDERED my 23 Maverick with XLT trim instead of XL. I'm not a big fan of the cheap XL wheels,,,
Wheels is an easy upgrade. And less $ than XLT.
I would buy a 2024 again.
I’d have to try the HVAC controls on the 2025 to see how inconvenient they are before deciding.

I've only had my '24 XLT for three months and 4,400 miles, but I would certainly buy it again.

EDIT: ...but I see that you posted this in the 2.5 liter hybrid section, so just ignore me!

I leased an early 2022 and even with all the recalls and foibles, I love my little Maverick - my lease ends Jan 2025 and I will be buying, BUT with an ESP and windshield coverage, along with wheel and tire coverage...but, YES!!!

I never buy new cars for myself, and never owned a Ford, but after having large trucks myself and hybrids in the family, I had been waiting for over a decade for a real hybrid truck with Prius MPG. So when Mav came out it was just what I had been waiting for and the thing looked good inside and out. My only compliant was the Deep Sleep 12v battery from not driving it as much, but it sounds like Ford is working on a fix. So YES I'd buy again.

Yes.

As of now I have a 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid which I love. If it got totaled I sure would buy another Maverick Hybrid.

Also a Yes when I purchased my 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid even though I had a 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid.

I sold my 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid with 9,269 miles on it that I had for 1 3/4 years to Carvana for $31,404. That payment was $5,336 in profit over my total out-the-door cost of $26,068.

I used the Carvana payment to purchase my new 2023 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid for the total out-the-door cost of $28,341.

In effect the result was replacing my 2022 Maverick with my 2023 Maverick and getting paid $3,063

The only reason I sold my 2022 Maverick and purchased the 2023 Maverick was because I wanted the "Trailer Hitch" that was missing on the 2022.

Also got a brand new Maverick with new 3/5/8 year warranties whereas the 2022 had used up 1 3/4 years of the initial warranties.

Also no wear and tear on tires as they are new compared to the 9,269 miles used on the 2022.

I would. But only have 2700 miles on it, only owned for three months and basing it on that. What the future might bring and what my opinion would be based on that I can't say. We will see how well the car holds up and the reliability and such.
