These are actual builds from a scheduling data base. I redacted complete VINs for obvious reasons. MPGs (22 city / 29 highway) don't appear to be final EPA certified, but estimated based on what Ford is aiming for- same as published target for Hybrid. Enjoy!

Note: good point made by @zackmd1

Keep in mind that all of those examples are 2.0 with the 4K tow package. 4K tow package includes a final drive of 3.81 instead of 3.64 so non 4K tow models might break that 30mpg barrier.

Santa Cruz's MPG compared:

2.5L I4 -- 21 / 27 mpg (23 mpg combined)
2.5L FWD -- 21 / 26 mpg (23 mpg combined)
2.5T -- 19 / 27 mpg (22 mpg combined0

Thanks!

It's about what I expected I initially, but I admit being a bit disappointed after the optimism from some of the mpg computers. It's pretty similar to my current vehicles. I was always likely to wait out the first wave or ordering and see how things developed, but it makes me more curious to see if they develop and AWD hybrid.

This seems more realistic than what some people are saying about the trainers. I've been looking and waiting for the EPA and crash test stuff to come out. Cool to see this! Thank you for sharing.

Cool! I was thinking 30 mpg highway for the 2 WD 2.0. Which is awesome IMHO for a small pickup truck non-hybrid! My last two small pickups S10 and Frontier both had terrible gas mileage.
I'd be lucky to get 18 mpg out of the little 4 banger Nissan. Extremely weak engine and a terrible transmission mated to it.
That thing only had 143 hp out of a 2.4L.

Now you have 1.0 Liters with as much HP. 😂

Trainers were saying 30-34 mpg. Which is entirely possible in the dash if you fill up and drive straight interstate/highway on flat ground. Heck I can make my Mustang GT read 28 mpg if I fill up on get on the interstate or highway and drive at 65/70mph On a flat section.

I was excited about the XL as it had the 4k tow package in there, Carbonized Gray and final price very similar to what my order will be  I can definitely live with these mpg numbers if they pan out!

I'm good with that mileage after 13.5mpg with my current rig...and if I drive the EB like I drive my Chevy it will get 24-25 in town... lots of coasting LOL

same as our 2018 F-150 Sport with Coyote 5.0 V-8 and 10 spd trans. Put it in ECO mode, cruise control on hwy and mostly flat roads with no headwinds and I've seen 27 MPG in the dash computer multiple times.

some people were gonna be disappointed if it was only 26, I'll take 29 any day!

2.0 EcoBoost mpg numbers should be slightly higher with FWD.
(due to weight and gearing for 2k tow)

Overall, these numbers are really good.

Now bring on the test drive reviews!

Exactly, but it's also not a realistic expectation for normal *aka most* driving situations. I saw someone post a trainer that was showing 25ish mpg, which sounded way more accurate.

Also, I drive a 2012 Ford focus and the in dash computer MPG is... optimistic.

If I do the math on average fill ups vs trip computer I get much closer to what the EPA rating for my car is.

I wasn't trying to day the trainers were being dishonest, or first it's not possible to get the numbers they were showing, but just trying to say that these are more realistic expectations for most people. 😁
