It has plastic runners for a rack. The antenna is not an issue on my Subaru.

I've used the "BaseLine System for naked roofs" on a different car, and I'm not a fan. They deform the door seals, and are a PITA to take on and off. If you leave them on, they aren't as bad though. But I like being able to remove my racks when not in use. Hopefully Yakima will come out with a better solution. The extender looks awesome though!

I have used the hitch mounted extender and it is not as ridgid as I would like.
Wonder how much shorter this is from stock. The big fin is still going to stick up. I’m guessing this stubby antenna will save maybe 2”.

I use the system on my Honda Fit and I don't think it's that bad, but YMMV. I also recommend Shinetsu grease that you get from Honda. It keeps the seals super pliable and helps seal them better.
