Just sitting here thinking that with all of the VIN numbers, hence the build dates given in the last few weeks, most ordered with LUX and CoPilot, I’m honestly wondering if Ford just can’t make all those vehicles and needs to get the MY24 up and running? I really believe that Ford just said enough is enough and they have to move on. I believe although there are constraints, they are not nearly as bad as Ford is implying. I am thankful that my September 18, 2021 order XLT AWD LUX CoPilot 4K Tow full size Spare and carpeted Floor Mats has been given an October 31 build week.

I'm totally confused on how Ford determines what order to build. My maverick order went into Ford October 11th. Hybrid Lariat Lux CoPilot, mud flaps and all weather floor mats. My build date is Oct 17 with expected delivery Oct 29. Why is your XLT AWD being built after mine? I'm not complaining here, just curious. You ordered almost a month earlier than me plus you have the ICE only that is not suppose to be a constrained item whereas there has been delays with the hybrid. ??????

Ford using an allocation system where dates mean nothing. I’m truly thankful for my build date…. I did drop the soft tonneau cover and mud flaps in February.

I think Ford I'd pretty confused too. I'd put a lot of it down to this new "just in time" manufacturing process that depends on perfection with everything arrive when it's needed along with outsourcing. This requires a dependency on a LOT of things not under Fords control. And, when things don't run perfectly: Chaos.

I'm thinking the order banks will open up again... Has the Maverick been a huge success, YES, and Ford wasn't ready for it, then add the supply chain issue, and workforce issues. I also think Ford wants to ensure they can build every MY23 for it's customer, no one (except for FOrd) know how many MY22 orders are being rolled over.
