When did you receive VIN number?

My sales man has given me an order number, but says that a vin number has not been assigned yet. I look at some of the post that include both. Were you given a Vin # as soon as you ordered, or did Ford send something at a later date

Your VIN # only becomes available once you have been scheduled for production - that typically occurs Thursday (this thursday is scheduling builds for late Oct/Early Nov) - either way there are many ahead of you still unscheduled, so odds of something for this year are pretty low.

When you get scheduled is entirely up to your build and any add-ons/options. If you ordered an Ecoboost you are much more likely to be built sooner than a Hybrid. Also, any accessory add-ons, or items outside of the Lux packages could cause additional delays (in no particular order - mud flaps, rapid red paint, tonneau covers outside of packages, spray in bedliner outside of lux packages). There are probably others on top of that - lots of moving parts, and a supply chain that is far from optimal in today's environment.

Got mine in the email from Ford for my scheduled build date.

I got mine on August 5th and I ordered it on July 24th
And my build date is next week

7-6 E mail from Ford order confirmation
8-5 E mail from Ford with VIN & Build date week of 9-20

I have a VIN, but no build date. I once had a build date of Oct 11, but that evaporated without explanation...

But, yes, it comes with your "scheduled" email.
