Can somebody please tell me what "DORA" stands for or is.... is it just a name for the build sheet or what? I'm trying to track down my order, or hopefully track it down, as my dealer did not put the order in my name and my build sheet says customer name "XXXXXXXX?" Thanks

I think Dora has something to do with the Explorer.

Thanks a lot... so if a dealer put in an order with customer name as "XXXXXX" would the system accept the order? I ask because my build sheet (or DORA) shows customer as XXXXXXX and ford customer service cant find my order or order with my name on it, so I'm hoping it's still an actual order and ford or the dealership can get my name put on or associated with said order??!!

The sheet you're referring to probably looks like the following. It's not a DORA. Everyone keeps calling it a DORA but it's as much of a DORA as it is a Ford Explorer. It's neither, not even a Preview Order report for a Ford Explorer.

It should have your name under Customer Name, a Priority Code 10-19, an Order Code, and at the bottom near "This is not an invoice", it should not say something to the affect that it hasn't been submitted to the order bank.

This. The correct process at least for 22 orders was to submit a license copy. They did that to ensure the dealers weren't putting in fake orders. They may have changed it but regardless, YOUR NAME and information goes into the ford corporate system (not the dealer's system) and you should get an email directly from Ford acknowledging your order. If this didn't happen you don't have an order with Ford. Remember, the dealer is a separate and distinct business entity. You dealer is NOT Ford.

Not a thing other than the order was submitted "they thought" and a manager is supposed to call me heard that from 3 people and been waiting for over 2 weeks and haven't heard a thing?! I just haven't had a chance to get by there, they're usually closed by the time i get off and i worked all weekend last 2 weekends?!

Oh yeah I'm fully aware they're not Ford otherwise i wouldn't be in this mess

Sounds like everything is in order, idk why they can't find your specific order. They should look at all of their orders and see if one looks funny, that one might be yours. If that doesn't work, idk what to tell you other than hope someone doesn't take delivery of their order and the dealer sells it to you at MSRP or less (assuming that the canceled order matches yours)
