Went to get my hybrid but came back with nothing

Went to get my hybrid today. Ready to sign on the dotted line and it came up that there was a recall on the side airbag!! Couldn't drive it and they said it might be next year to get it it fixed! I am devastated and bummed out big time. My wife and I were on such a high then boom. Oh well, what are you going to do. I just came home and cracked open a beer.

When was your truck built? I might have the same issue, my truck was built 9-14

My hybrid has an august 2022 build date, I’ve had it four weeks tomorrow. No recalls show when I run the VIN?

IIRC all they are saying is Q1 which could mean March! You guys are getting boned - mine is recalled but at least I have it.

Odd that your dealer wouldn't tell you that before you arrived. Imagine traveling 600 miles only to find out you couldn't take delivery of your truck due to the recall

I picked up my Lariat 3 weeks ago. It was built in September, and I was not informed of a need to bring it back for the air curtain campaign, although I was aware of this problem popping up late summer. Would think that anything built since sometime in July shouldn't have an issue, since the in-plant process was improved, thus eliminating the need for a rework/replacement.

Ohhh man, that is a letdown. So what now... dealer parks it in the back 40 till the bags come in? I'd check and make sure they have some adequate security and I'm hoping you and your wife have visiting rights to see your new baby.. Best of luck! I'm waiting for my airbags to show as well but at least I'm fortunately driving

Any truck built after July 9th won’t be affected by this recall.

The service department got there ass chewed out I can tell you that. Luckily I live 15 minutes away. This is one of those things you just can't get out of your mind...
