Mine included. Anyone priced the extended warranty that they didn't purchase at original sale?

I understand, but what I mean is. Have you experienced anything that makes you nervous? Or just want it to want it

you can buy that stuff used on ebay, copart or similar salvage yards, or you can buy it new from an online discount ford parts.

paying $1000-2000+ guaranteed when you have no issues makes no sense to me.

jeez, dude. I would hope you are planning on living longer than the duration of an extended warranty if you aren't retired yet.

at any rate, you can get a quote from Grainger Ford and I've heard they are the cheapest for Ford ESP. I would recommend not buying a 3rd party warranty as they have limitations, deductibles and various other 'gotchas'.

I usually never keep a vehicle long enough to need an extended warranty and never felt the need for them. When I got my 23 Maverick 2.0 Lariat I decided to get rid of my 19 Ranger Lariat 4x2 and my 20 Ranger Lariat 4x4 FX4 because of issues that were starting to happen. Both Rangers were showing the signs of the 10 speed auto CDF drum failure and both had the famous heater box warping. The trans repair/replacement was 7K for each one. The heater box replacement was 2.5K for each. I was active on the Ranger forum and lots of people were having the same issues as me and some had ECU issues to the tune of 2K. Most were old school and in no way did they want an extended warranty. Many had wished they did. With the cost of warranty that Granger offers it seems to be a no brainer for me. The constant increasing of dealer labor rates are also a good reason. My 25 Maverick AWD Lariat should be coming in next week. I was thinking that I will keep this one for a while and will get the Granger warranty. Face it folks ,these computers on 4 wheels are not your grandfathers Ford. All manufacturers are having issues right now. Do whats best for your piece of mind. Bret

If you don't keep your vehicles long definitely makes no sense to purchase an additional warranty past the factory. I however keep my vehicles 15-20 years and still have never purchased or needed one. Maybe just luck,or maybe how I use and maintain them.

You can calculate on-line the cost of a Ford extended warranty purchased from one of the dealers that were recommended by this forum.
https://www.grangerfordextendedwarranty.com/ford/maverick/
https://www.floodfordesp.com/

Read about what's covered by the different plans at:
https://fordprotect.ford.com/extended-service-plan

My 2022 Maverick has been problem-free for 3 years, but I found an 8yr/60K miles BaseCARE wasn't too expensive, as I don't drive many miles per year. I used the balance of my FordPass points to reduce the cost.
