235/65R17 Firestone Destination A/T2 mounted on 17x7.5 Sparco Terra in bronze.

About a +1-2lb weight difference from stock since these wheels are substantially lighter, and these tires supposedly have a very low rolling resistance for the class so I'm interested to see how this affects mileage (Hybrid).

The more I read the more I get unsure of which direction to go. Help and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Hybrid XLT here, will keep the OEM rims. Will not be lifting or dropping. Just want a wider and more aggressive tire profile for appearance and performance.
Torn between 235 vs 245. Will prefer 245, if there is no rubbing or mods needed. How much mpg loss am I looking at for 235 vs 245? Mostly will be road driving with 15-20% gravel road. Nothing crazy off roading.
Will 245's fit without any rubbing or mods?
If yes, which tire to choose.
Have been reading up on Falkens, Toyo, Firestone, Nokian, Dextero
Live in PA. Mostly flat, snow is not an issue. So mostly for dry road and some wet conditions.

I think Area51 and brass wheel looks the best. The sparco terra are perfect. Did you have any other bronze wheel in mind aa alternative?

I agree I love the look! Very happy with the little Hybrid now.

I looked at some of the other Sparco wheels and a forged set from Vivid Racing, but the weight and price of the Terra was too good to pass up. There are better looking wheels but these are an excellent value.

Don't think I've noticed OWLs on an Alto Blue or Black so wanted to share. Suspect some may not like the look.
245/65/17 Trail Terrains. Happy with the upgrade. Will see if we are going to do a lift still.

Now that you've been running these for a while, any regrets going bigger size and all terrain with the hybrid? Looking to go same size (bfg trail terrains) with my hybrid and scared it may affect the benefits of the hybrid too much...

As you might guess, a bigger heavier tire with wider contact patch is going to leech away at the hybrid MPG, but the offset is the benefit of improved traction in the dirt and the nicer appearance is worth it. Since I WFH, I don't drive every single day, so mpg is not the end all for me.
It really depends on what you mean by "too much". I'm not a hyper miler or a Climate Activist, so I'm fine with it.
Good luck on your decision.

I went with Falken Wildpeak Trail.
I like the ride but they are still 3 peak rated. Made for unibody vehicles. Look really good too

Is this in 235 or 245?

I've been debating which tires to buy and dropped a couple of options into a sheet to compare and then figured I might as well put a bunch more images in as maybe it will be helpful to others when choosing tires.

I did my best to gather the correct tire and size information but if any of these are your truck and I got it wrong please let me know.

Thanks for putting this together. I am looking at Toyo AT3 in 235/75/17 . Will they fit a stock Maverick , or maybe with a one inch level lift ? Thanks

Doubtful even with a lift. People can't seem to get any tire in a 245/70R17 to fit other than the same Toyo you're looking to install. The problem is that 245/70R17 is a 30.5" tire while 235/75r17 is a 30.9" tire. Yeah, it's only another .2" (radius) but it hasn't been tested. Why don't you want to go with the 245/70R17 in that same Toyo tire? Price?

Just had 245/65/17 BFGoodrich TrailTerrain. Costco has a $110 Off promo that DiscountTire BEAT! These are great tires - we had K02 on our F150 but they were too much for our needs with maverick

@mrjspence What is the difference between BFG K02 and the TrailTerrain?
