I was thinking of something similar but not quite. I know they make auto lockers, for the newer Subaru Outback’s. Who knows if they will do something for the Mav/Bronco Sport. I think it’s like a better version of a G80 or a limited slip in some ways.I like to upgrade the rear end on a 2022 Maverick
I think it will help keep momentum up. I have seen a few videos where they have hit an obstacle that should have been done in low range but just wasnt available. And the delay it took for one rear tire to spin enough to engage its brakes to make the other one spin, was enough time to lose momentum. Then they just tried again and made it with more throttle. Theoretically a traction aid in the rear that doesnt have to wait for the brakes can keep both tires pulling at the same time.I don't think a rear locking rear differential is going to give you what you think it will. Even the all-wheel drive is primarily a front wheel drive vehicle which has the ability to transfer power to the rear wheels by engaging a couple of clutches. An add the locking red differential I don't know if you really gain that much.
Swore I saw one on ebay a while back.Any luck finding one of these in the junkyard?
That is good information so far. I bet with this their should be a tune shop that can assist. But I need to keep reading to see how far they got. I guess 1-2 hours of sleep will be ok for tonight...another log for the fire
