Survey data from vehicle research firm Strategic Vision shows a third of today’s pickup owners rarely or never use their truck for hauling, while two-thirds rarely or never use it for towing.
source AXIOS Article is focused on big trucks, not compact trucks like Maverick.

Will you actually use your truck for hauling and towing?

Day three I used it for towing my boat. Not a huge one but needed a truck for sure for bed space. Day two I hauled pallet boards that didn’t fit in my crossover. Day five I hauled lumber around. I’m going to continue to use my maverick for hauling more than towing, but towing is what I have a truck for. The crossover can somewhat haul things around, especially ones that I want protected from elements/theft.

I've not towed yet, but hauling is a frequent for me. That said.... It's mostly musical instruments, but still. Hauling is hauling.

I've had my Maverick for almost a year and haven't done anything with it that couldn't have been done in the Civic hatchback I traded it in for. But it's nice to know I can do (small) truck stuff with it if I need to. That day will come soon :)

I've towed and hauled many times with my Maverick Hybrid - once I had 800# of bagged stone in my lawn trailer and 800# in the bed of the truck that I towed/hauled home from Home Depot
Towed the same lawn trailer from Florida to South Carolina full of household items and the bed of the truck was also full, an 8 hour trip at highway speed with no issues (got close to 20 mpg average on the trip)

Yes I do, fairly routine. Hence the ordered AWD 4K Tow.

You keep playing them instruments and you could end up hauling in some ass!

I purposely ordered one with the tow hitch even though the only time I've ever towed anything in my life was the one time I moved across the country about 15 years ago. Have used the bed to haul a couple of appliances as well as grocery trips to Costco or Sams, but that is it. And I'm perfectly OK with barely utilizing the bed or tow hitch.

Towed, not yet. Sometimes borrow buddies small trailer for riding mower. Hauling: washer/dryer, China hutch, golf clubs quite a bit, garden stuff. I’ll use the beater truck for hauling bulk items like gravel, horse 💩, dirt, firewood, or longer lengths of lumber

Just like awd. You probably don't need it 99% of the time (at least where I live) but that 1% driving through ultra slippery ice you need it and would pay anything for it at that moment.

No intention of towing anything ever. I will do some very light hauling from time to time, but the bed of my truck is an extended trunk to me.
