Works ok. Reception is a bit reduced. This is the 2.5". It has interchangeable studs. Annoying thing is if you unscrew it, the stud side stays screwed in the antenna base. Overall, I'll mildly recommend it.

That Thule case atop the cab, do those cross pieces attach to the rails in that roof? Do you have a link for those? I'd like my kayak more forward than I have it currently and those would do the trick. Thanks!

I'm using the old Thule box until the ARE topper arrives. I have the Toros Pro4 roof rack. It's a cheap option at $200. It hooks on the door frame and has rubber footers. It's all tension based and outside of the rail channel. Lots of plastic on this rack, but the price is right. It was legit and shipped quickly from Turkey. The bars are aero and shaped like airplane wings, sound like wings too.

This is an Avenn roof and kayak rack system I had on an old Outback. Feel like hitting the road right now but don't really want to drive anywhere Mem Day Wkd.

Looks good. Any kind of wind buffeting noise? Only thing I would worry about is the rope rubbing paint on the hood.

I agree about the paint. Look earlier in this string, someone suggested a Thule hood loop. I had never seen one before. It anchors under the hood and gives you a loop to tie off to. Ordered some yesterday.
