safely towed our Maverick from Santa Fe, NM home to (near) Denver, CO.with our trusted 2004 F150 5.4 V8 (with a whopping 74K miles) on a UHaul car trailer.

had a delay at dealership with releasing vehicle after they caught the fuel tank recall but they inspected right away and thankfully we were not one of the bad units. This was a 4ish hour delay though. Oh well. Beautiful truck, worth the wait.

Nice! But it really was worth the 4 hours to be sure the gas tank is ok. Some dealerships may have taken much longer.

I also ordered mine from Capitol Ford, Santa Fe back in June - no build date yet. Was seriously considering towing mine the 250 miles south with my 1994 F150 but U-Haul would not let me rent a car hauler with the F150.

I also ordered mine from Capitol Ford, Santa Fe back in June - no build date yet. Was seriously considering towing mine the 250 miles south with my 1994 F150 but U-Haul would not let me rent a car hauler with the F150.

Capitol is great. You can assured they will honor their pricing and not BS you during sales time. Had a great experience there. One of the few honest dealerships I’ve come across.

UHaul definitely vetted my equipment and double checked I was hooked up correctly. They don’t mess around. Probably struck insurance regs.
