Tonneau cover vs. soft topper?

I have a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT hybrid. Is there a combination tonneau cover and soft/hard topper that would fit my Maverick? I need something that was of course waterproof, but also could temporarily secure my gear from prying eyes. Ideally a hard shell Tonneau cover for everyday use that would pop up to hold taller items for camping, inflatable canoeing, etc.

I have a hard tri- fold from Rough Country that I love. Folds all the way to the cab. They make a model that only has two folds that doesn’t give you full use if your bed. No leakage what so ever even when going through car wash. If you have a locking tailgate it’s secure.

Well Terry, I found what you are looking for. Except it isn't made for the Maverick
Npaladin2000 looked into it a further.

That would be so handy for me too, better than what I was looking for.Unfortunately, I see this at the bottom of their product page:

I also called RaZorTop today and spoke with a sales person. I found out that, they have had quite a bit of interest from Maverick owners, but because the Maverick is a unibody. It does not have a space between the bed and cab they have no way to mount their forward support structure.

I did some research and I think I found what you're looking for or damn close.
A tonneau cover that raises into a topper.
I do not know if they make it for the Maverick or how much it cost.

I have a SofTopper and really like it. I can load more stuff in the bed cause I can stack to the ceiling. Haul the dogs in the back for a short trip. No problem.
I’m old and struggle with the cover on my Ranger even though it’s aluminum and not that heavy. Soft top I can lift off or fold down. No leakage problems in the 8 months I’ve had it.

I haven't seen one with a hard top. Do a Google search, there's a new company that makes a motorized one that's pricey but might include a hard top. I have had the fas-top on mine for a couple of years and and quite happy with it.

I’d love to know how yours doesn’t leak, with the design of the Mav I don’t know how it can’t leak “some”. I have the hard fri fold from ford and it leaks a decent amount in certain areas.

Undercover armor tonneau trifold sections . have it for about 2 years . Don't know if it leaks and don't care . any leakage will run down side and out drainage holes in bed . I have modified dibl from ford range ($25 on Craigslist ) that I cut to fit . All is good IMO .

You put the supplied foam strip across the section next to the cab. The section next to the tailgate has double rubber seals. The hard cover channels what ever water may seep in away from the bed of the truck and over the tailgate on both sides. Best I can explain, I just know it works. I had a Flex Cover on my F-150 and it let in a little bit of water. No problem. Had an Undercover Armor on a previous F-150 that was about the same as the Flex. In my opinion the Rough Country is better and cheaper.

It's all about the dollar, you can spend 300 to 1500 and they all leak somewhat. I have the Ford tri-fold was about 400 has the Ford emblem on it 2.5 years on FX4 holding up ok leaks a little by tailgate in car wash no big deal, don't Carry anything valuable don't need hard cover, when I got my truck there were only a few now lots of choices. Seen and read on club post on eBay has hard cover for 400 now that's popular.

I believe Terry the original poster is looking for a combo unit. A Tonneau that raises to become a Topper.
I never knew one existed until I found one.. Unfortunately, because we have a unibody truck it won't work.
