Plan to take my maverick off road on some forest service roads in BC in the spring/fall.

I'm not even sure what the factory tires will be (Lariat - fx4/luxury package/tow package), but I'm guessing they won't be great.

Any recommendations on upgrades and/or where to get them?

BF Goodrich Trail Terrain TA are a good on/offroad tire. (Their performance in Mud isn't all that great though.) But everything else they do well at.

They also have a more aggressive offroad tire called the All Terrain TA but I think it would be a waste on a Maverick.

I 2nd the Toyo tires. I have used them on my F150 4x4 for years and have gotten great mileage out of them.

I’m happy with the OEM falken wildpeaks that mine came with and have over 20,000 miles. The 235’s are noticeably bigger than the other factory sizes too

Have to order my Mav August 2nd but I had Michelin Defender tires on my '09 4WD Ranger and they were awesome. Have Michelin Cross Climates now on my car and they were the closest I could get to Defenders. Cons Reports rated the Michelin Defender tires high ...

I have an AWD FX4 XLT. Eco 2.0. I went from the Pirelli Scorpions @ 225 to Yokohama Geolander 265/65/17 and huge improvement off road. No mods and no rub. Great tires highly recommend -cheers!
