Tim and Ted's Excellent Mis-Adventure :
First brief read.

I arrived at the Association for Computing Machinery Hyper Text meeting In San Antonio, to take the place of my friend 'Doc', who had a child's Christmas Program that same Saturday Night. Having lost my job unexpectedly the day before, I needed to network contacts. 'Docs' friends joking That I was not as fun as he. Finding Tim's project handout and thinking he was a scientist who wrote programs, I became interested.
So I waited, and waited at Tim's Project breakout meeting room, Tim Never Shows UP!. But, many of 'Docs' friends did so I explained to them the usefulness of Tim's project, and being the only person to used Hyper Text in Science Education was elected to take the breakout meeting lead. So, we addressed the uni-link (forward only) problem of Hypertext and others. Wrote an addition to Tim's project to reduce those issues so that 'e-commerce' could happen by adding a stored link back on the receiving server. Never expecting to interact with Tim again, I rehashed our group effort to support his project.
Tim was not expecting any real Q & A since his project was already CANCELLED. He knew it, but We did not know.
Fast Forward to January 1992 I ended up working under the President's Office at Southwest Research Institute and was noticed very dramatically by a Female Chemist who was at That ACM meeting. So was assigned to help setup Tim's WWW Project
at a dozen computers.
Project people did not seem to have a networking background with DoD (now DoW) administration, so I set those methods and ideas to mirror network hardware admin. into software admin.
So Why not heard of my role before? Tim did not want the person he misunderstood to be the Guy, to CANCEL him in the first place. My sources say it was a Female Professor at UTSA and a small group weeks before my involvement.
Never interacted with Tim after 1992. But did work on the WWW helping correcting things for 3 decades.
I volunteered to Help Ukraine so back at the role of administration after retiring.
