I’m happy with my 2022 hybrid, but dealer has been offering a good price for my truck.
My question is for folks who got a 2022 and traded for a 2024, are you happy with the 2024

I would only consider the trade if one or more of the following were true:
  • Upgrade in equipment or trim, XL to XLT, XLT to Lariat
  • Reduced overall cost
  • Accident damage to 2022 or major repair needed
  • Expired factory warranty and the upgrade cost is less than an extended warranty
  • Need another vehicle within the family

I'd ask the dealer if he'll make the same offer on a 2025 order. Because of the refresh.

Well, considering I'm one of the ones who traded in a '22 for a '24, I can safely say yes, I am very happy with the '24. There are some minor improvements that have been made since launch. For example, there's more sound deadening all thanks to foam pads that are installed in the front door jambs. Also, the material of the leather wrapped steering wheel has been improved and feels silkier and more satisfying to touch rather than the more textured material in the '22s. I'm not sure if the plastics have been improved since someone who received one of the first '24s mentioned that but I still try to be as careful as possible. And since it'll be a third model year vehicle, you don't have to worry about recalls as much. Lastly, the transmission seems better tuned. It doesn't seem as clunky or noisy as before. The transitions are definitely smoother. So if you really want to, I'd go for it, especially since you're getting a good offer.

I have an April 22 Lariat Hybrid. My answer would be NO. I like the temp readout on each knob. I use the outside keypad daily and my pickup has had only 1 issue and that was resolved. It was the grabby brake issue. Only thing that might tempt me would be a get-the-salesman fired deal.

You don't mention which trim level you have. Unless you got a totally stripped-down 22, you got things like the rear window, temperature readouts, wiper and side-mirror heaters, etc. They removed all this stuff in the 24 and considerably raised the price. The only trim level to retain most of this good stuff was the Lariat, and its unfortunately being sold at essentially the same price as the F150.
FYI, I cancelled my 24 order and bought a 23 to still get most of the removed options. Just keep the 22 and you'll be a lot happier.

Wait for a 25 as it's right around the corner and there's no meaningful differences between 22 and 24.

One year and 30,000 miles on my 23 (16 months since i ordered my 22) I would not change anything. Had to install an autodimming mirror which I thought would be standard issue on XLT Lariat Hybrid. I use the keypad more often than I did on my Fusion.

Have a 22 and 24 scheduled to be built tomorrow 4 8 24. Dealer is giving $4k less than I paid but with incentives it'll cost me about $2k for the 24 out of my pocket.

Off topic but do you miss your Fusion? I just bought a 24 Maverick XLT lux and am getting my 2012 Fusion hybrid prepped to sell. I LOVE my truck but thinking I may also miss my Fusion!

Traded in 22 XLT Eco Boost for 24 XLT Eco Boost. Same color, accessories, etc. I think it's a better truck. Quieter, tighter. May be a placebo effect, but the dealer gave me almost MSRP for the 22, I'm happy. I look at this way, new tires, new brakes, and new warranty.

I had a 2017 fusion hybrid platinum, beautiful car. Yes, I do miss it but the dealer offered me too much after I paid it off to pass up the cash. 150K trouble free miles. For that reason, I would've bought another one, but they didn't have it anymore. Maverick was as close as I could come, but my wife and other family members just love it in the city.

I took delivery of a 24 Lariat hybrid a month ago. I was able to get back what I paid for the 22 XLT Lux hybrid with 16K miles on a trade and I have no regrets. I am out of the recall hamster wheel and resetting the warranty is piece of mind. I do miss the keypad but I'm slowly getting over it. I just keep the fob in my pocket and forget about it. Major upgrades include the B&O sound system which is awesome and the ACC which comes with the Copilot 360 assist package is pretty damn cool. All of the creature comforts with the same 40 mpg. I worked my ass off for 50 years so now I feel like I deserved to splurge a little during retirement. Anyway, as a simple man I couldn't be happier.

Like others said, just wait until summer and order a '25, which will be the first refresh of the Maverick.

I am considering doing this. I know the '25s will cost more, but I doubt my '23 XL Hybrid will have depreciated much by then. So far, it's still worth more than I paid for it OTD.
