The plastic interior door scuffs are starting to annoy me, any recommendations other than be more careful?

These doors scuff up way too easily. Is there any kind of protective layer you can put on it anything that’s been made for these doors

Wear house slippers and do not carry anything. Seriously, not anything that I am aware of.

303 Protectant will wipe out a lot of scratches and such. I have a set of rubber seat belt buckle protectors at the ready, for when my Mav arrives, because I'd read so much about those scratching the column, where they hit when you release them. I'll be getting sill protectors of some kind. Other than that.... short of forbidding people to enter unless they're wearing Vans and have no sharp edged objects on their persons, you're gonna get scratches and scuffs.

Never knew they existed until this post. Cool.

My Maverick had a perfect interior until my wife with her rings came aboard. She scratched every area she touched, from the outside door handles, inside handles, opening armrest, and throwing her key blob on the dashboard! Her answer, it's a truck.

I’m planning on applying duct tape to the door sills where people will inevitably step on and scratch. I found this navy blue color that I’m hoping will match well with the interior (no Mav to test with yet). If anyone tries this method, I’d love pictures!

Reniteco Navy Blue Duct Tape- 2 inches x 10 Yards, Heavy Duty Duct Tape, Waterproof, Resistant, NO-Residue, UV Blocking, Pack of 1 https://a.co/d/hOLKL5S

Oh wow, if you end up doing that let me know, I'd had the same thought. Figured it surely stick longer than any sill protector from an automotive store or something. All the reviews on those things seem to be about how they don't stick. My only concern with the duct tape would be what are you going to do when it wears out and you have to replace it, I'd be very concerned that it bring the paint up with it

That’s a valid concern and why I won’t be putting duct tape on the paint, plastic interior pieces only. I figure I can buff out paint, but it’ll be a lot more trouble if I pull off paint while removing the duct tape.

I'm not a total slob (blanket on the back "fake leather" seat for groceries and such) but we're not that picky. To me it would be weirder to have just a few scratches than to let everything wear in "evenly"....
