I'm curious what size tires people have went with after getting the Rough Country 2 inch lift strut kit. It recommends 245/70R17.

I have the FX4 that came with Pirelli Scorpion 225/65R17 ATR. I want to keep the rims. I have ordered 245/70R17 Scorpion All Terrains Plus. I don't know too much about tires/wheels. From reading these forums it seems most people are using 245/65R17 tires with a 2 inch lift. I'm really just worried about tire rub.

245/65R17 is the sweet spot. Also, for the money, the Wildpeak AT3W's or even the Trails would be a much better choice. I don't think you will rub with the 70R's (I could be wrong) but you will sacrifice a lot more revolutions per mile just to fill a small gap. IMO, the 65R's look much better and the hit on anything taller isn't worth it in the MPG category or the added stress on the drivetrain. I'll hold my opinions on the RC stuff... you do you there.

I should have measured before and after lift and tires... I just measured a new one to mine. About 3 inches in the front, rear was a little over an inch. My truck does have a hard trifold tonneau cover, rubber mat and bed divider in it, where the new maverick was totally empty.

Curious what the height of the tailgate is now when opened ? I am running the HR lift springs- Seems like a 1.8 inch lift and not 1.5-

31 inches. But between tools and bed accessories I have roughly 120 lbs of stuff in the bed. I wish I would have taken measurements before and after. All the mavericks I have at work and totally empty so it's hard to get an actual read on how much the lift is. What size tires did you put on? That could be accounting for the extra .3 inches. I listened to recommendations from people on this site and went with 245/65R17, my tire guy recommended 245/70R17s. I kinda wish I would have went bigger, but I'm still very happy with what I got.

I tried to take side by side photos of my maverick next to a stock fx4. In person it looks much better than stock, but I can't seem to capture it in a picture. I do get stopped almost everywhere I go and get alot of compliments!

I went with the 245/65/17 as well also wish I would have went with the 75s. After seeing how much room is left I put the rough country 2” suspension lift on it
