Tailgate lights recommendation?

B.R.E. (Before Rear-Ended) I ran the extra strip along the bottom edge of my tailgate, others have run it under, along the back edge of the bed. Now mine is along the bottom edge of the tail gate cap, right up, in their face. I had almost 3,000 miles B.R.E., and now have 15,000 A.R.E. for a total of 18,000. Oh, and also along the top edge of the rear window.

I don't do things the easy way, so mine are tapped into the front turn signals and the Center-High-Mount Stop light for redundancy (separate circuits).

You'll have to educate me on what C.H.M.S. abbreviates for.
I've not experienced any difficulty from the OCD regarding the pulse bulb on the cab, but then again, we have different year Mavs and that may be a factor, or just a defective bulb. (?)

My OCD was due to the bulb and the module not flashing in sync with each other.

The tailgate is the original. It hasn't been replaced yet. It still functions perfectly fine and they want too much money for new and even more for used. Someday I'll find a deal, until then I disguised the dent with the peek-a-boo sticker

I put the 48” OPT 7 on the top of the tailgate. DONT HOOK IT TO THE 4 PIN as it will cause all kinds of issues. Opt 7 made a power adaptor to repower it, it has been discontinued. The curt one looks the same function. I ran some 6 wire cable from the tailgate to the area behind the back seat. You can tap all the wires you need there as the harness that feeds the brake lights is right there. Also the opt 7 is solid aluminum with a silicone filler. I bent mine to fit the curve of the tailgate. Mounted with 3M tape. Use an adhesive promoter when bonding to the plastic trim and it’s stuck . Changed my reverse lights to feniex cannons so there red on brake and flashing white strobe on reverse . Also does amber/white strobe. Changed my 3rd brake light out to feniex wide strobes for brake , strobe function . Added a couple of feniex cannons for the break and area light for night work
