Installed DeeZee tailgate assist, pretty quick/easy with the helpful info. from everybody on these forums. Didn't think it would be a big deal with/without but, honestly, I do love just opening the latch and letting it drop on its own without babying it down. (yes, I'm lazy.) I do have a problem, however.
The top part of the tailgate cable is chafing on the head of the strut during opening/closing as it transitions between front/behind the strut top body. Plastic heat shrink has already frayed, exposing the steel wires of the cable. Other than some electrical tape, anybody figured out a fix for this? tks in advance.
