It already is! If you can't lift this tailgate you won't be able to turn the steering wheel.

It already is! If you can't lift this tailgate you won't be able to turn the steering wheel.

You obviously have no small children or elderly folks around! FYI it is NOT to help lift it! It is to slow it down so if you hand slips off (wet or whatver) it won’t crash onto someone or something. Again, NOTHING TO DO WITH CLOSING SAFELY OR MORE EASILY!!!

Local Ford dealer called me today saying the Tailgate Assist I ordered on Thursday was in. Got the 15% Ford discount also.

I miss the opportunity today, by the time I saw the email that they were back in stock, they were out. I open my tailgate about 10 to 15 times per day, it slips out of my hand about one every hundred times. It would be nice to just pull the handle and let go and wait.
