Why won't your insurance fix/pay for it?My Ford Maverick got t-boned by someone who passed a red light on the day I got it from the dealership. My insurance won't fix it but I want to fix it. So can it be fixed? is it possible? please help.
Auto Collision Coverage covers damage/repairs to your vehicle if the accident is your fault less your deductible.
Did you not have coverage on the day you took your Maverick home?
I contacted my insurance company the day before I took my Maverick home and had insurance in place the day I took it home.
You mentioned that your insurance "won't fix it" so if you do have "Auto Collision Coverage" then the insurance company will determine the cost of repair. If repair costs are higher than the replacement cost the insurance company will total the truck.
Hopefully you do have insurance in force on the day you took it home.
On my insurance I also have "Auto Replacement Protection" so that if my Maverick gets totaled then I can get a brand new Maverick either ordered or off the lot even if the price is marked up or higher than my original cost. This coverage costs me $10.92 every six months.
My brand new MY23 Maverick is worth $33,270 if I were to sell to Carvana. It only cost me $28,381 total out-the-door and the replacement cost for a MY24 is $31,898.
Having the "Auto Replacement Protection" coverage protects me during these times where vehicles are worth more on the day they are driven off the lot.
