I had something similar happen to me a couple of years ago. Person was on her cell phone . Be sure that both you and your girl are thoroughly checked out. Document everything!

The big take away was my daughter left only with seatbelt marks and a nasty spot on her head from the side airbags. Thank you Ford.

I know its been said many times already, but I am glad you and daughter didn't suffer more serious injuries. Guess its a testament to the Maverick's design and safety features.

But as many have also said, get both of you checked out medically soon. In case something flares up in the future (I did have a neck injury flare up weeks after a similar accident years ago).

Airbags deployed immediately. My 6 year old was slammed into hers. Trucks 911 assist called 911 like it was supposed to. We walked away a little battered but OK. Truck also called the emergency contacts I put in it.

Guy ran the light and slammed us at high speed.

But this truck did impress. He hit me so hard he nearly knocked me out of the intersection. I was coming from that road closed sign. The hit swung me 90 degrees and damn near off the road. I was rolling in electric mode maybe 20 mph so I would hit the next light perfectly. He ended up past my truck. It hit so hard the rear door clipped his car as he was passing. And this is a shitbox 90s escort station wagon. Crushed the front end of his car. Radiator fluid and it looked like oil everywhere. I will definitely get another Maverick.

Glad your ok, if you financed it the good news the available comps from dealer stock markup could get you a higher payout.... On a total loss. Depending on how many months you had it and state guidelines they will pay what you paid if it's less than the valuation. But in some states you could make out. Again glad your ok.
