I second the bedrug recommendation. Mine has held up great despite some abuse. It doesn't retain moisture, is super durable, and has so far proven to be stainproof. It's also easy to clean. You can turn a hose on it, sweep it, blow it or vacuum it. I love that the xlt mat covers the gap between the tailgate and the bed. It's kind on the knees and the texture also helps prevent loose items from sliding around. I bought one after researching several competitors. It was difficult to find any negative reviews on the bedrug xlt bed mat.

I also recommend the bed rug. They are amazing. I got the impact mat this time, which is a little different from the original. It's more in line with a traditional bed liner, IMO.

I had a rubber one on my Gen3 Ranger for 10 years.
I liked it a lot. I have a Ford OEM plastic one on my Maverick now. I like it but I only have 1500 miles experience with it.

I'm going with the "terrible" hard plastic on my future Maverick just like on my F series. Over ten yrs of use it's proven durability, ease of loading and unloading make it my easy pick.
Undecided on the bed floor covering at this point, not plastic for sure.

Finally went with a spray in liner for bed and tailgate. I used Ziebart Rhino liner. It is a bit rough for delicate things and is why I have my original rubber liner for the bed. Did not want to attach anything to the tailgate that would require screws and removal periodically to clean for removal of anything that could cause rust.

Got the rubber one from ford. Used pass points to buy it. I like it says Maverick on it. $135 + tax. Took one month to come in.
