I watched the @fordvideoguy Maverick Monday video about changing the tire this afternoon.

I have a Rough Country 2-inch lift on my EB AWD Maverick and realized using the factory jack to replace a flat tire might be unsafe.

Has anyone tried using the standard scissor jack on a Maverick with a 2-inch lift?

As a follow-up, do you have any recommendations for what I should carry?

I just realized that it doesn't matter. The tire height will raise the jack point. The lift won't. Duh!

The lift will raise the jacking point also. I use a aluminum pump up jack I carry in the bed of my truck.

Depending on where you like to jack it, the height will be raised. Just find a scrap piece of 2x8 lumber(maybe 2x6) about 8" long. That should take care of any difference. It will also be handy for all kinds of uses, from a wheel chock, to chopping block for coconuts.

Also if you make a load divider for the bed slots you will always have a piece of lumber to put under the jack.

Great idea. Yet, I have the Ford accessories bed divider. After @OB1e mentioned it, I realized I have a PowerBuilt 2-ton All-in-one bottle jack in my garage. All I need to order is the rubber pinch weld adapter mentioned above. Problem solved despite the fact it wasn't a problem in the first place. My jack point is only 1-1/8 inch higher than the one on my wife's 2024 XL Hybrid Maverick. Thus, the factory-supplied scissor jack should work just fine for my truck with the taller tires (the lift doesn't matter).

I gotta still reccomend a small chunk of wood. Its one of those things that makes it a real truck. It will come in handy one day and you will never notice it next to the jack behind the seat.

From an old fart that used to change front end wheel bearings on the side of the freeway, cause I was young and dumb...I just carry my AAA card and since I used to work for them as a manager, I still get put to the front of the line...
