ST maverick for 2024?

Personally I think the market is just to small and niche for them to release one and make a turn around profit. With that aside, hell yeah I would be interested if they did.

There is zero details about it except dual exhaust. However in a repeat of the Tremor rumor, spy shot, second spy shot, leak announcment, and real announcment timelines. We saw that dual exhaust spy shot last winter, at that point I said spring/summer we should see another spy shot just as what happenend with the Tremor. Then between then and the 2024 order time will be a leak or someone getting cagey in a interview. Then a mont before 2024 order banks open we will get a confirmation and couple pictures released by Ford. Then all unfullfilled 2023 order will be scrambling to call their dealers asking if they can change their order and keep their 2023 base pricing. Then the 2024 order banks will open, the system will crash 14 minutes later only to re-open later that evening while most of yall are stuck in afternoon traffic. 64,000 orders will get through that day most likely a friday, the next monday Ford will announce that due to unprecendented demand no more order will be taken at that time.

A ST is a low cost model possibility for Ford. All the parts exist with the exception of some model specific trim pieces like a front spoiler, exaggerated side moldings, smoothed center exhaust rear bumper, sorry sport fans, no trailer hitch for a factory lowered ST Maverick.

The ST has always been more about turning corners than drag racing. Upgrade to the 2.3L (with the required transmission upgrade) and you get a RS $$$ or even a GT for drag racers.

Any new competition for the Maverick will have a higher hill to climb as Ford adds more variations.

Yep thats why the Tremor was a good deal and the appearance package was pricey for what it offered. Parts you have are cheap to install. But all that trim is actual work to make. I dont even think they need to change the motor out for a ST. Exhaust, a Corsair turbo, and a bigger bumper to house a bigger intercooler, could easily put 300-325+ hp down with a full warranty. They have the company who made the Tremor shocks and springs for em. So thats all just a order away to lower it. Diff is easy too. Just program in more rear bias. I wouldnt be suprised if its offered the exact same way as the Tremor. As a added package of guts and or appearance on the XLT and Lariat models.

The rest of the soon to be players in this segment will spend too much money to catch up. Pricing them above the Maverick and by the time they gain a foothold, the segment will stall out and be less relevent. Ahh the joys of being innovative.

Course the complete package would probably call for dropping the truck. Some folk would probably flip their potatoes at the idea of lowering a Tremor.

Really think about it. Buy a Tremor, sell the front clip, and the shocks and springs for good money. Get a stock XL bumper for cheap from a wreck. That should net you atleast enough for upgraded lowering springs and shocks. Then slap on a bigger intercooler, the turbo swap, and exhaust, plus tuning and forscan. You should end up with a pretty zippy setup for only a couple thousand over the cost of a Tremor. Probably run 12s and have better handling.
