I don't think the OKTB will have much effect on me. I still don't have a build date, so they will probably start shipping by the time I have one. There will be a backlog for shipping, but I doubt it will make much difference.

So... My spirit is still in the same sad condition it was before the announcement.

I have not looked at all the fussy details, but if you don't go for the hybrid, the Maverick and the Santa Cruz look much closer to me.
I think it's the opposite. The EB/AWD/4K is closer to what the SC is offering. None of the SC trims offer the efficiency and economy of the Maverick hybrid.

I was a little bummed cause I was hoping the oktb would be happening when the media embargo was lifted but I guess not. Hopefully it’s sooner than the 8th of December. Might be a hectic month with Xmas shopping and the new year coming up. I considered an eco boost last night, but the 40mpg is too good not to wait for. Hopefully, the hybrids don’t end up having a plethora of issues but I’m starting to think that the eco boost might be the safer purchase.

Not wavering at all. If the OKTB story is true we have some movement. That is good news. Still don't have a build date so my hope is that when it is built it is shipped quickly.

Not going to cancel my order just so the dealership can take delivery and jack up the price to some other guy.

I really dislike the look of the Santa Cruz… I think if I were to switch it up I would look at the new 2022 frontier

Don't believe everything posted here as absolute fact without verification that the supposed fact is plausible.

There are a lots of questions in that thread that cast doubt.
I agree and I’m not making any quick decisions. Going to finally see a maverick in person next week and that will influence my decision. Hoping to hear something official from ford by then

Gf is pushing for looking elsewhere
Brings to mind a motorcycle joke that could perhaps be repurposed:

New bride: "Now that we're married, maybe we can stop riding on that stupid bike of yours all the time."
New husband: "you're starting to sound like my ex-wife!"
New bride: "hey, I thought you were never married before"
New husband: "I wasn't"
<rim shot>

I have a reservation for a Fisker Ocean since the beginning of December of 2019 (and they still plan on Q4 release of next year). I think a couple more months for this isn't that bad.

(Still debating on keeping that reservation or not)
