Sound maker for EV mode

In 2020, the government came up with a new rule. Any vehicle capible of running in EV mode (silent)must make an noise while running EV. On my rav, its kind of startling, the first time you hear it. Im sure the Maverick will be like the RAV for reverse, which is electric motor only. Sometimes the ICE runs, but whatever the case, the ICE doesnt connect to the wheels in reverse. ICE is the Internal Combustion Engine
Anyone know more about this?
