So Now There’s a Paint Shortage???

Went to the local Sherwin-Williams paint store today for a gallon of paint for my hunny do list. The clerk tells me I can only buy paint in a quantity of 5 gallons because of “the paint shortage”. I asked the clerk how is buying 5 gallons when I need 1 gallon going to help with the paint shortage? He looked at me like I was from outer space and didn’t answer me.

Oh well, no touch up painting for me today.

It sounds like all manufacturers are going to have to get creative to get production going with the supplies they can get.

I ran into that a few months ago. It was a 1-gallon can shortage. S-W was unable to give me a can but only had 5-gallon buckets. All of those metal cans are coming from overseas and stuck in cargo containers at sea

Yeah, that's why Sherwin Williams hasn't offered their 30% off deal in a long time.

It's been like that for a while. I just finished building a house. Luckily I got in before a lot of the shortages. Lumber, cabinets, windows, paint, etc. were some constraints that my neighbor across the street has run into run. Not too mention the price increases....

Yesterday, I had to go out and buy birthday wrapping paper and tissue. Guess what else appears to be in short supply. It's not just motor vehicles and major appliances. This is not what I had in mind for the 20's.
