Don’t even see how that is legal. Tail/Brake lights are red for a reason.
Personally, I like the idea of "ghost" brake lights, where they are clear and become red when lit, like Toyota is pretty famous for (heck even on Minivans of all things) and you can even see on the Ford Edge. I share your concern about safety with blacked out from heavy tint.

When Lexus started doing that years back i always thought it looked great! Esp on the IS300. This minimalist LED matrix trend now in high-end cars is really cool. I hope we see it trickle down into new "normal" cars in the next generations. Ferrari and Porsche are killing it lately with their lighting designs.

I like it as long as it's someone else's truck. Like others have mentioned, a light tint is better. But I really like what @JASmith showed with the Toyota pictures. The silver (that turns red) would look awesome. I think she said Ghost lights.

Nay. It's trading off perceived appearance improvements for safety. I would imagine that if you were driving around like that and someone rear ended your Maverick (which it is usually the person that rear ended is found at fault), that they would have a good case of shifting blame to you for purposefully obscuring your brake lights.

Thank you, no. I like being as visible as possible at all times.

Kinda has the same effect as a loud Cat-Back exhaust on a KIA; looks cool but has no real value or functionality. IMHO

I like the look, but I will absolutely not give an insurance company a reason to deny the claim if someone rear ends me.

Agree, that's why I LOVE a Yellow Truck. Can't miss them.
