Hi I have a hybrid XL w/360 coming up on 13000 miles. Today when going to reverse out of a parking spot the dial shift stopped at reverse and wouldn’t go to park - it was giving me resistance. I tried several times and it did eventually go to park however it used to just spin and spin and now it sometimes stops at park and won’t go any further counter clock wise - but not all the time - it feels clicky, when spun counterclockwise and clockwise past reverse.

this is not like when you’ve your door open and try to go into gear and the dial won’t move until you close the door and restart/re turn the key. On a side note I’ve never had to have my foot on the brake to start-I imagine this is a thing with the hybrid?

Yes I get that you can do that - it doesn’t explain why it’s getting stuck and giving resistance in addition to not spinning past park - but when you switch from park to drive as it passes reverse and you can feel it click going past reverse like it got a little stuck going the other way towards drive - No issues past that and it will continue to spin past drive with no resistance.
