So im very confused, but the first 5 months I had my maverick, the seat was perfect. I handed it over to a shop for some ppf work, and they moved it slightly, and now it feels like I literally cant find a comfortable position 😂 i have the 8 way power cloth seat, does anyone have any advice? After 20 minutes or so I get some lower back pain no matter what config I try. Not noticing the same in other chairs 🤔

Dont you hate it when you have it dialed in and someone messes with it? I had to lift the back of mine, the angle of the seat is pitched so far down in the back it was really bothering my legs. My wife was uncomfortable too, I raised hers 1/2" and mine a full inch, problem solved.

I have to go through a reset process everytime my wife drives the truck...she is 5 ft tall (this is very tall for a shorter person! ;-)

Everything is wrong, from lumbar setting to height to, well everything.

I can get fairly close after I climb in and also AFTER I bang my head on the door frame trying to get in....that seat goes way up.

But it takes several trips to iron out all the smaller adjustments such as the back inclination angle.

Try climbing in your truck when you aren't going somewhere and start your seat adjustment all over...push it all the way back, drop it down all the way and sit the back straight up. Then one at a time re-adjust.

Just like a computer, it might need a wipe and reinstall/restart.

Can't hurt, I am hoping!

Good luck,

Andy

Yeah, its the worst. And good to know about the raising actually being useful, ill have to mess with that.

Yeah, I have to go trade it in because of this lol

Good idea, ill do a full neutral position and just add from there. Adjusting one thing here and there isnt getting me back lol

It’s the biggest missing feature for me on lariat. A 2 driver memory seat.

I won’t drive my wife’s odyssey for 4 months and grab my key fob and when I get in and start it the seat and side mirrors adjust for key fob 2 and the 2nd memory setting.

This is what I noticed, If I lowered the seat at all it really bothered my legs so I had to raise it all the way up and it was decent then

I feel your pain...
In your case, the obvious remedy is getting the wife a vehicle that she likes better so she stops driving yours...

You could also put thread lock on the seat adjustments (or welding) to encourage that situation to happen.

Nah, we are retired now and only need one vehicle, and we love our Mav!

I just know to take extra time when we go out next, so I can get everything where I need it to be comfortable before we actually leave.

Have a good one,

Andy

Same issue here. It took months, but finally got it back to where I want it. Then I pulled the fuse! No more adjustments by valets or mechanics, or even my wife :) ( I know it could be safety issue, but I drive it 99% of the time...)

Thats smart, I might have to do that 😂 lifting the seat up helped immensely so I think im close to homing back in on where it was

I couldn’t figure out why the seats felt mediocre at best until I measured our other cars’ seat bottom cushions. Long story short, the Maverick uses really small bottom cushions, even compared to small cars like my wife’s poverty-spec trim Prius. Adding neoprene covers helped a bit for me, but the bottom line is that the seats are relatively narrow with a foam density that is a little soft and not very thick as vehicle seat foam goes. The P (and our other econocar) have a wider seat bottom with denser foam that is vastly more comfortable on a long drive.

TL, DR: cheap seats applies to both the nosebleed section at a stadium and Mavericks.

Yup, any vehicle that both my wife and I will be driving must have memory for seat, steering wheel and side mirrors (rear view mirror memory would be nice, but not a must-have). She doesn't drive my Mav, so I wouldn't pay extra for memory on that, but it would be nice to have that as an option.

If one took the time to measure wouldn’t they provide those measurements? How did you measure foam density?
