I have been driving for a long time and I never had a vehicle that scratched so easily. I’ve only had my Maverick for a few months and I already have several scratches in the interior. I’m extremely careful when I get in and out of this truck. The one long scratch is on the passenger door. I have no idea how this happened.

Lots of folks have been mentioning that. Weird thought, some years ago we had some issues with our kitchen councrete countertops, someone suggested Pledge which is basically just aerosal wax, it really cleaned up marks/discoloration. I wonder if it would help mask the scratches or maybe even a non- cleaning car wax ?

Some can be removed with a little heat from a heat gun. You will get hammered on here as it’s a truck and it’s going to get scratched. I say BS. I didn’t buy a work truck. My Ford work van gets used hard and there are no scratches on the interior plastic other than in back where I drag damaging objects around. Cab, no scratches.

I don't think there is anything to prevent scratches on plastic. I have used some "303 aerospace protectant" on my plastic interior which protects and darkens the plastic. Since the 303 goes into cracks and scrapes, the darker plastic makes the scratches less noticeable.

What is shown in the bottom photo appear to be more scuff marks than scratches.

Gentle rubbing with one of those dampened Mr. Clean Magic Eraser thingamabobs ought to make them vanish. Test it out on a small patch first.

Definitely scratches easier than other cars I’ve had. It’s a softer plastic I guess. I like to keep my cars clean, so I’ve learned to be gentle with the surfaces. 303 hides a lot and doesn’t add too much shine. Maybe try to use it once every couple months as a maintenance topper. Train yourself to get your feet over the sill — that scratches easily and I still have tons of marks on mine from when I took delivery.

it’s a truck and it’ll get banged up, but you can try to preserve it with 303 and cutting your finger nails.

The interior blue plastic is absolute trash.

Try cockpit cleaner premium, yeah it’s a real thing used on beemers and Mercedes.. it won’t hurt..

I hate the argument that people make about scratches on a truck saying, "It's a truck. It's gonna get scratched." Just because "it's a truck" doesn't mean you have to treat it like absolute crap and free-willingly let scratches happen or justify them. Many people don't buy trucks for intended truck-duty and instead use them as family vehicles or as their daily driver. Many use it like a sedan or crossover and just get groceries, run errands, or for pleasure purposes. So of course it makes sense to have materials that are more scratch resistant with constant in and out foot traffic. I've learned to just be incredibly careful dusting and touching the plastics.

I've been using simple Armor All Interior Shine Protectant which gives it a nice deep shine with a non-greasy formula. The more coats I put on it, the deeper the shine and the better it hides scratches. I did use 303 Aerospace in the past on other vehicles but just find it incredibly expensive and think Armor All works just as good for a fraction of the price. Maybe it's the cheapskate in me but I was using Armor All anyway for years before 303 anyway. I do have a scratch on the passenger-side b-pillar from the seat belt buckle and just a slight scratch on the power driver seat controls but that's bound to happen on any vehicle frankly.
