I was referring to the Runaway Camper trailer and not the over cab sleeper. At least the sleeper has a bed and storage, while the Runaway option was an empty box inside. That's how they accomplish the 634# weight.

Wouldn't be any worse than a Transit connect LWB as a sail.My first impression is the wind effect. I would not be comfortable with 30+ mph cross winds while doing 60+ MPH. The wheelbase is just too narrow to stabilize that much mass. Nope!
Do you have a runaway camper?? I've been looking at them too. I think they have a dealer now in Sacramento. And there is one I can rent on RVshare fairly close to where I live. So I can try it out first.I'd prefer this to the cabover any day. Less than half the price, easier than mounting something in and out of your Maverick, and you still have use of the bed.

Not to mention a continental breakfast, free ice for your cooler, clean stink free bathroom aqnd a hot shower$16,000.00.
That's 100 to 160 nights in a comfy motel room.
Pass.
$8000 for a NEW one is about $5000 too much.My wife won't stay in Motels. Hotel yes. But at least after your 100 nights stay you can get half your money back with this.
That's where I was, thinking "Well, that is maybe a bit more than I want to spend right now, but it might make sense." Then reality hit me.I was gonna buy one for $1295.
