Scored my XL hybrid today

Picked up my XL hybrid today. Wendle Ford in Spokane honored the MSRP (ordered) price, and it went smoothly.

Initial thoughts, based on forum discussions ...

• The sound system is fine for a non audiophile. It sounds similar in quality to the Bose system in my Volt.
• The android phone linked via bluetooth fine, and all that seems to work. Gotta play around with it more.
• MPG on the way home was 35 ish, generally playing around, about 20 miles.
• It is quiet. There is mild road noise, and some engine noise, I am happy with it.
• The roads were slick (ice, snow) on the way home, and it handled it fine.
• I tried slippery, normal, sport, and eco, and frankly saw no difference. I think any difference that normally would have been noticed was hidden due to the slippery roads. (In other words, any difference was traction limited.)

Overall, very impressed.

The steel wheels look very nice on that truck. I noticed a paper temporary floor mat (Nissan) in one of the photographs. Are you ordering new floor mats and from what company? What date did you order your Maverick? Thanks.

The dealer sells Nisssan as well as Ford, hence the "Nissan."

I like the steel wheels, and intend to keep them.

I typically just use the OEM carpet mats, and replace them with new when worn out. I will likely do the same here as well.

On the way home, i stopped at a ranch supply (North 40) to get a stall mat for the bed (you can see it on the ground in the photo above). As I pulled up to the kid who was going to load it, I surprised him as he didn't hear an engine (it was electric at that moment).

A couple of other things I noted:

• I can hear the backup warning from in the cab, which is fine. I like having it.
• The backup camera is far superior to my 2013 Volt's.
• The heater works really well. It was about 10 degrees F, and the cab warmed right up.
• The front seats are comfortable. I haven't sat in the back yet.
• I didn't not note any action from the lane keeping system (CP360). It may be turned off in the settings, or I suspect it was unable to determine the lane boundaries with the snow on the road.
• I heared a hint of squeaking plastic, very faint, not sure of the source.

Picked up mine today to! Generally agree with your observations. I notice the lane keep assist did not work either and it was on. Going to play with the settings to see if it changes.

Beautiful Maverick, bud! Looks awesome in the snow. I ordered my Hybrid XLT, Ford 360, & Luxury Pkg on 10/18. Hoping to get e Schedule Date before I die! LOL! Enjoy your new Maverick!

There is a lane assist button on the turn signal. Even though the data screen showed settings showed it as “on” you have to turn it in with the button!

That is awesome news! I live in Post Falls myself and commute to North Spokane for work and have a Lariat Lux Hybrid on order and is scheduled to be built the week of January 17th. I driven the Ecoboost Maverick but have not had the pleasure of experiencing a Hybrid in person yet, let alone driving it in the weather we are having in the Inland Northwest right now.
