Edmunds warned not to get expectations too high yet not Jeep Gladiator levels either:
Everything is quieter than a Jeep Wrangler soft top.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" is the soft top motto. Aka. no talking while driving.

So happy to have sold my Wrangler to Vroom. They offered a lot of $$$.

What noise issue? One guy complaining on the internet?
So true. I'm so ready to get my truck! I need to take these comments with a couple of grains of salt!

Look at the "average" values on the left side -- it looks like they are exactly the same for both vehicles in their testing at 76.7. The middle value of 47 and 74 are the 'current' db level I'm guessing.
But since OP blew the horn in the Mav, and not in the PS, the average is skewed high for the Mav.

So I can only assume the Mav is more quiet than the PS in similar modes, which I would expect.

I wonder if anyone has seen any testing on low noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. The first thing I noticed when I got on the Freeway the first day I picked up my Mav was how loud it was. I am not talking about the engine. You can barely hear that, but the actual noise of the tires on the road and wind noise on the windshield. I own several cars that are 2011 and newer, and the maverick is the loudest by far. And all the other vehicles have class E M&S tires that should be louder. Maybe due to being closer to the ground than the other cars I drive. I had a 2016 Tesla Model X, and I know it is an electric motor, but the inside of that car was as quiet as they come, probably a lot more aerodynamic and Dynamat throughout...
Id say its a combination of less sound insulation compared to anything else, the tire quality, thin windshield, and basically cheaper vehicle to keep the cost down. That Tesla probably has twice the sound deadening, thicker windshield made to be more quiet and tesla uses special tires just for Teslas that have sound deadening foam on the inside of the tire. Im already planning on pulling all the carpet out of my Maverick and installing sound deadening in the doors, floor, firewall and even on the hood.

Hope my XL is quieter than my Gulfstream G700. That thing can be loud on the runway.

Maybe yours is a sub $20k, but mine certainly is not. Now I'm anxious about this noise issue...
Even with all the bells and whistles of the Lariat, its still just a sub 20k truck with a bunch of extras added (adaptive cruise control, nicer seats, different trim, better speakers, etc).

Road / Wind noise on par with our 2011 Highlander. Not a library but comfortable, Lariat Lux with FX4/Tow/ -

Most of that noise diminishes above 300 knots, as you leave it behind you. Same with the Maverick.

I did notice the noise on my road trip with the radio off was a little high. But nothing that would make me want to trade it in. My 3 series 2019 is much quieter which is probably the only reason I noticed the mavs noise at all.

Sorry but I'm finding mine the quietest vehicle on the road I've had in years. Just had a long road trip with no issues.
One thing though on a ferry I get a really annoying wind noise coming through the vent behind the back seat when it's parked inside on the ferry. Weirdest thing and very annoying.

if you have not test driven a Maverick before delivery, try to do so. If you can't make that happen drive yours for awhile before spending $$ to mitigate potential "problems" that may not even bother you in reality.
Yep, that's the plan. Been hard nearby finding ones to test drive. I just like knowing about the fixes ahead of time. I like the one that someone suggested for engine noise, getting the Bronco Sport's engine cover.

You should take it for service. Mines as quiet as can be.
