Revised shipping updates from Ford

So my my xlt hybrid ordered on 7/21 in the Detroit metro area was shipped.(e-mail says on its way!) on March 22nd with their est arrival to my dealer 4/17-4/23.
I checked with my dealer 4/23
Says he'll know when it get here when delivery truck pulls in lot( big help)
So I get new update from Ford site on 4/26:
"To ensure my complete satisfaction we require additional time before delivery
Now arrive 5/23 -5/29.
Anybody else get one of these while there truck in route for delivery ?
Really though it wouldn't take 2 months to get to detroit

Yep got one yesterday after contacting Ford customer service on Tuesday. Said delay was until 5/26-6/2 to dealer...required additional time. Originally 4/11-4/17. Sat in Detroit since 4/12... Then out of the blue dealer called this a.m. and truck was delivered to dealer near Cleveland this a.m...WTF? ...so hopefully you will be surprised anytime now. Went in today and paid for and picking up tomorrow. All their dates and tracking were useless. So hopefully you will be surprised also.....

don't want any part of that email mines waiting shipment for a week now expected late May very frustrating why does it take so long to ship, going on 8 months TOTAL now,
is it the train or the trucks or both. buy your own trucks FORD!!!

Mine took 4 weeks and 1 day. I picked it up the same day it arrived at the dealership. When it didn't show up on the original delivery estimate date, I got an email from Ford pushing it back an additional 6 days.

Hang in there, your truck will show up at the most inopportune time. I was out of town for work when I got the call. I worked thru lunch so I could finish and beat the Bay Area rush hour traffic going home.

Well you were right, my xlt hybrid arrived at noon yesterday (5/5). Closed the deal
( no markups and the z plan) by 7 pm.
Loving the truck
Took 9-1/2 months but I'm glad I waited
