REV Hard Folding Tonneau posts too long

The posts that hold it upright don't seem right (see picture). Everything else fit's fine so I'm wondering if they assembled it with the wrong ones.

the rod is supposed to fit in that slot, it can’t because it’s too long. I’m trying to see if anyone else here has one and can measure theirs

Ok, it looked like it had a little more room in the pic. Must be an optical conclusion. Cant tell if theres enough room left on the channel piece to make the slot long enough. Maybe use a drill with same diameter bit as the slot and ream it out longer. Not the best option on something brand new. We got redneck fixes though

Recommend a hacksaw or cutoff tool…I’ve seen where someone else needed to make that same mod.

I thought about it, but one end is machined for the rubber tip and the other is glued in to the plastic piece.

Any chance you have a link for that other thread?

That's as far as it goes without bending stuff

Can someone who has a working one take a measurement when they get a chance? Mine is 16-1/4 from the tip of the rubber to the point where the metal rod meets the plastic

If I look at you other side, the nut is about halfway up the slide where as the side your showing it looks like the nut is farther down. Doesn’t the nut slide all the way up?

The nut doesn't slide, the channel behind it does, neither channel slides up far enough to recieve the rod *so to speak*

Can you turn the channel upside down?

Alright I figured it out, the two rivets at the top of the video were blocking the slidey part. I tapped it with a hammer a few times and it shaved enough plastic off so I can move it all the way now.

Pretty shitty design for $1200
