I kinda feel the same way. The decals are easily removed. I do love the blacked out look too!
The emblem used here is OEM from Ford, so I guess it’s a good thing even Ford doesn’t think like you. By the way, the Maverick wheel caps come BLACK from Ford when they easily could have been matching emblem blue… not everything is blue these days.

This is in the OP. Probably not the best lighting to really showcase the difference but I'm telling you those emblems are completely different in person. The chrome is smoked on the new one, and all the black has a super premium look. At least going off the black appearance pack F150 I saw at my local dealership, the black emblems look stunning in person.
I kind of like the protruding emblem more. Great update!!Today I installed the Ranger Black Appearance Package Tailgate emblem (LB3Z-9942528-A) on my Maverick Grille. Like the tailgate emblem and bezel, this is not a direct replacement and requires modification. Updated OP with pics and info. Now my emblems match front and rear.
Also removed the AWD emblem and installed some tailgate letters.
