Question: When should I expect 2022 Maverick emails? (VIN, scheduling date, production date)

Hello everybody! My name is Connor, a.k.a., MightyMaverick. I literally just created my account on this mavericktruckclub.com forum. I figured this would be a great opportunity to communicate with other Maverick owners and to get further insight on news and reviews regarding this vehicle. One month ago, I went to my local Ford dealership to order a Maverick. I ordered a Lariat trim in Area 51 with the Lariat Luxury Package, FordCoPilot360 package, and with the 2.0 liter Ecoboost with AWD. I sat down with the salesman, went over the spec sheet, he then sent it to the sales manager, and told me it has been ordered. I also paid for the deposit right then and there with a printout receipt.

My question is, when should I be hearing from Ford regarding a VIN, scheduling date, production date, etc? I realize it's only been a month but I feel like I should be hearing at least something by now. Can someone let me know? Thanks.

P.S., I'm very happy to join this forum as a future Maverick owner.

Welcome.

You should have got an order confirmation email from Ford. Did your dealer take your email address? Although some folks here have reported never getting any communication from Ford.

The next email from Ford would be when your vehicle is scheduled for production. This depends on many different variables. Some have been scheduled a few days after ordering, some ordered back in June and have nothing yet.

Best advice is to be patient!

I am only guessing here, but I reserved a Maverick through Ford website. At which point I was contacted by Ford dealer ship. Upon ordering I recieved confirmation email right away. Dealer never asked for it. So by going through process of reserving one on line my email was already tied to my order.

I ordered my Maverick last week from Granger. They required a $1000 non-refundable deposit which I paid immediately. The next day, Ford emailed me with a thank you for my order. I ordered a Lariat, First Edition Hybrid. Hopefully, your lack of a quick response from Ford doesn't mean anything bad. People are saying communications from Ford can be hit and miss.

By the way, in the email they promised the following:

Throughout the production process, we will keep you updated on the status of your order. You will receive email notifications when your 2022 Maverick LARIAT is:

• Scheduled for Production – all necessary parts are secured, and your order has been placed in the production schedule.
• Built – when your vehicle has been built, we will let you know of the estimated arrival date at your dealership.
• Shipped – when your vehicle has been shipped and is on its way to your dealership, we’ll include the latest estimated arrival date.
