I'm looking to add off road protection to my tremor to do some light off-roading. I live in a very rocky/sandy environment and this vehicle is perfect for accessing rock climbing/camping/dirt biking areas in BLM. Has anyone found full underbody skid plates and rock sliders yet? I found a few websites that list similar products (links below), but have no idea if they fit. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Here's a picture of my bone stock tremor out in the wild.

There's nothing available that I'm aware for the felt after the FX4 and Tremor skid plates.

Mavericks are a year behind the Sport and skids are just coming available for them.
Probably won't make them unless they sense a demand and have a mule for test fitting. I imagine they would be very similar to Sport parts.

Awesome Rocky Road Outfitters is getting into Mavericks, they are great parts builders. That second one looks like they are made for other international Ford vehicles.

Im hoping to find the underside looking good for mounting protection I will be underneath our Tremor in exactly one week, probably in the parking lot of the Iowa I80 truckstop. Hoping it looks like I could sort out a plan. My goal would be to add a smooth underbody in place of the felt. and to put a reinforcement plate inside the front plastic chin. I want to leave the chin plastic as is so I dont alter the cooling.

I can fabricate pretty well, my only issue is my access to weld gas is extremely limited on Hawaii, I just cant afford it. so The only thing I can weld is steel. Hopefully I can make some sort of low profile rock rails that serve as a mounting plate for an aluminum belly plate. With shipping being what it is, there would be no point in selling em, but If I can make a good plan and have a way to cheaply excecute it, i will be happy to share details and measurements.

Great looking Tremor, excited to join the club next week.

I would love some specifications once you figure this out. I have been looking and looking form something underneath because I have done some crazy amazing things with this vehicle but have to be more careful because there is not much protection there.

I’m doing my part to generate demand for underbody armor…

I'm pretty sure that's the EVAP canister.

Dang! this is what I am afraid of. So far we've been good, but someones gotta come up with some better protection options

Save $600 on replacement Charcoal Evap Canisters.
So it turns out the Maverick shares an Evap Canister (part number LX6Z9D653F $459) with a couple other Ford/Lincoln cars/SUV's. You can save a couple hundred $ buying a used one off eBay. I got mine for $224, and it came out of a Lincoln Corsair.

I also tore the felt under shield deflector and Ford wants $97.17 for a new one (part number LX6Z6775R).

AutoNation Ford quoted $725 to replace the Evap Canister and $200 to replace the under shield protector.

This job aint hard enough to pay $100+/hr labor to do for me, and it's not warrantied. I'll save my $600 and put it towards some real skid plates and rock sliders when some manufacturer gets around to selling some armor for the Maverick.

In the meantime, I patched my under shield deflector up with some stainless bailing wire and sprayed flex seal over it. Initially I was stabbing the tip of the bailng wire through the felt, but it turned out to be easier to just drill tiny pilot holes and sew it back together like Frankestien stitches. So far it's held up on the highway. I'll update if the wind catches it and tears it open again.

As for swapping out the Evap Canister, it's definitely DIY-able. I didn't even jack the truck up, did the whole thing on my driveway. Didn't have a torx T30, but a set of allen wrenches worked too. The hardest part was getting the wiring harness to let go of the original evap canister. The hoses are easy to get off, just wedge a blade screwdriver under the yellow tab and pop them outward a couple clicks; then the hose slides off the end easily.

One piece of advice I would give is, to bolt it back in place before plugging in the hoses closest to you, it will give you room to install the aft nut.
