I had a 78' Scout II. I literally could not get it stuck. Easy to work on. I miss cars and trucks like that.

Edit... After watching the video I have to wonder like the other guy... Where is it? Not even a glimpse of a prototype.

Old ones were nice though.

They haven't put together the final US team that will do design and specs. They haven't decide if it will be gas, hybrid or EV or a mix or SUV or truck first. VW is moving toward mostly EV so some think it will be a compact EV truck.

Think about 4 doors and a 4.5 foot bed. It will work if the door is only a few inches from the back window.

The best of the announcements that I gleaned was that the plant was to be located near Columbia South Carolina. That is good news for those folks.. That area could use the manufacturing jobs, and these will no doubt be good paying manufacturing jobs.
