Ordered June 18th, and the most I can get out of my Dealer is that my order is "locked to changes" which he says means scheduled "soon"...

I'll be over here holding my breath.
I have never heard that before unless you have been assigned a VIN!!

Time will tell, but it seems like we've had considerably more people get their orders moved up, than pushed back.

I think this al has to do with supply chain issues.

First - What higher end builds can we do
Second - What can we build with what is left.

The higher end builds positively affects their bottom line in this start-up stage. Then what can we build to use as many total parts we have left to complete a build.

Their vendors are facing supply issues, as well as employee issues especially if those suppliers are located her in the states. a lot of manufacturers can't get employees. That will soon end when the government checks stop.

Does anyone know status on building 1st Edition models?

I would think Ford would want those out ASAP for a couple of reasons: 1. High profit for the build + features... 2. More notable - the open market value of those on the road "making impressions"... I ordered the Spark Red - nearly got the Carbonized Grey - did not like the Area 51 at all...

The Spark Red is completely out of the norm for me... but this may be my last ever vehicle and I wanted to have some "Viva" umpf in my daily driving.
I PLACED MY ORDER 2ND WEEK OF JUNE AND HAVE NOTHING YET. JUST THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL. 1ST EDITION CARBONIZED GRAY HYBRID.

Or being that the XLT is by far the most popular they will knock out the one they have the most orders of.........

But hey, Im lucky. I have TWO build dates.....muahahahahahahahahahahahaha

My dealer showed me a screen-grab of his order spreadsheet. The two "scheduled" orders were for XLTs -- one EcoBoost, one Hybrid. Neither seemed to have luxury packages, but it was hard to tell.

All seems kind of random to me at this point. At least at this small dealer.

Ordered July 1, 2021. No scheduled build date yet. No hurry on my end but I am excited to see it and drive it.

After receiving my ORDER confirmation email from FORD, 2 options were changed (color and FWD to AWD). Nowhere on-line can I find the revised order. Has anyone that has made changes received a confirmation from FORD?
I received a second order confirmation email from Ford after I changed some things. After the whole FWD 4K towing debacle I texted my dealer and switched to AWD and while I was at it I added Copilot360.
Those were the only two changes I made.

Shortly after I signed the second Dora at the dealership(maybe 30 minutes)I got the second email from Ford. My original order was on 6/23 and my order change was on 8/19. Even though I received a second order confirmation from Ford BOTH Dora's have the same order number. So I know my dealer just didn't cancel my first order or just create a new one for me and keep my first one for a stock unit.
