Private Offer Concern

Hey all,

My build week is finally coming up soon and I just read another post that kind of made me nervous about the private offer. I was suggested the private offer by my dealership, Woody Anderson Ford, back in September. But now I'm reading around that you're supposed to receive a confirmation or something to confirm this private offer. Is this true? If so, how do I go about letting the salesperson at the dealership know? Thank you guys and happy Maving

I have spoken to ford customer service about my order. 800-392-3673 and ask about my private offer. They gave me the conformation number the dealer is looking for.

My dealer sent me a copy of the Private offer certificate when I asked them if it was in place. If it helps, the number was a combination of my 5 digit sales code (minus the leading "F"), then "22", then my 4 digit order number, and ending with a "1". A 12 digit certificate number.

I have not yet. Still waiting for delivery. But it is the number I plan in giving them

Interesting - I got my Private Offer certificate # from FORD customer service - but it's only 9 digits. Same pattern of sales order #, then 22, but only two additional digits.

EDIT: maybe the end digits depend on how many Maverick orders a dealer as. My dealer is small and had only a few MY22 orders.

Called ford marketing to get my confirmation number is 2XXXXX2YYY1. Where XXXXX is the sales code and YYY is the order code.

As long as the # exists, you should be all good! You don't actually need to give the # to your dealership. It will show up in SmartVincent when they look up your name & address.
But now you know for sure that there is no issue in your being eligible for the private offer.

As much as I would like to agree, dealers are going to do ANYTHING to make a buck especially right now. Consumer education and knowledge before the buy happens is ALWAYS good. I am gearing up for my delivery set for Dec 26th - Jan 1 with every bit of information to make sure the process is smooth and I get everything I am supposed to get.

Bottom line, it does not hurt a thing to have this information before picking up your maverick.

The presence or absence of a private offer doesn't affect the dealer at all. If the customer has the offer, that amount is paid to the dealer by Ford. If not, that amount is paid by the customer.

You are right. It is a good idea to at least confirm with your dealer (or Ford if your dealer isn't cooperating) that the private offer exists for you.

We tried this at my dealership. But if the certificate was not generated automatically it won't show in smart vincent. The only way to fix this have someone at Ford they are calling an inventory specialist manually fix.
